Message from Our Founder, December 2017

Watch to see what we have accomplished so far during Phase 2 construction!

Dear friends and family,

This November, my wife, Bethany, and I went to Haiti to continue Phase II construction. During Phase II we completed a kitchen, two bathrooms, one staff room and one large space that will be able to accommodate up to 20 people for mission trips and be utilized as a space for community classes! Eventually this space will become a two-story building where visitors will have accommodations on the top floor and the lower will be used for the community. This space will also serve as a rescue for the community in case of natural disaster.

We are serious about keeping our word to you to complete this building as quickly as we can, while maintaining high quality standards for the community who will utilize this space for generations to come. Many of you have come alongside our ministry to help make phase I and II possible and we are very grateful for your partnership. We are now halfway through phase II and have spent about $14,000 for the first half. We are proud to say that God has allowed us to spread these funds further than we anticipated. In order to complete phase II, which will consist of making the first level a livable space, we will need about $20,000 more, which will make us just shy of our original goal of $35,000.

How exciting it will be and what a victory it will be for the community of La Chapelle, principally the village of Jannin, to see this building completed during the month of January 2018. The mayor will be happy, the population will rejoice, and all of our little ones in the village will come as always to spend time in this space but this time to see it as a finished product. I pray you can understand how big of a blessing this Center is for the village of Jannin, La Chapelle. People that have never had the chance to go to school will be able to sit and learn about leadership and ways to better care for their children. Children will have a place to laugh with their friends and learn about their value in Christ. People that are practicing Vodou will see and hear how wonderful is our God. You play a vital part in the impact that is being made and will continue to be made in this village. We ask you to continue in your efforts to invest into people’s lives by standing alongside of us this Christmas season.
