With heavy hearts, we are writing to let you know that the decision has been made to suspend all activities and operations for Dream Haiti for the 2024-2025 school year. The Board decided on a temporary suspension of activities in Haiti due to the following:

• Pursuant to the assassination of the President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise on July 07, 2021.
• Pursuant to the killing of the three missionaries, Jude Montis, Davy and Natalie Lloyd on May 24, 2024.
• Pursuant to the roadblocks and difficulty traveling within the country.
• Pursuant to the lack of leadership in the country.
• Pursuant to the travel ban in Haiti by the US government (Level 4, Do Not Travel).
• Due to crime, civil unrest and kidnapping.
• Pursuant to the uncertainty of the stability of the country.

It is our hope that we will be able to resume operations in September of 2025. As a gesture of appreciation for their dedication to Dream Haiti, all employees of Dream Haiti will receive an equivalence of four-months salary during this difficult transition.

Dream Haiti leadership will be monitoring and evaluating the situation in Haiti to determine an appropriate time to resume serving the people of Haiti. Many other organizations have had to make similar decisions at the onset of the civil unrest. We waited as long as possible to pause our operations. At this time, we believe it is a wise decision. Our heart and mission at Dream Haiti has always been in the best interest of the Haitian people and for the Gospel to go forth and we will continue to keep that at the forefront of all our choices. We invite you to be in prayer with us during this time and that we will be able to resume in September 2025 and for the country and people of Haiti. The board of Directors are available to meet with any and all donors and partners on an individual basis to discuss the reasons above and communicate the steps taken for the safety of the children and the safety of all our employees in the ground.
